Katherine is an experienced Speech Pathologist with a Bachelor of Applied Science and a Master of Speech Pathology from La Trobe University in Melbourne. She has worked across clinic, school and community settings and is passionate about connecting with children and families to support meaningful communication and feeding outcomes across the lifespan.
Katherine has a strong special interest in paediatric feeding, with significant experience supporting infants and children to start solids, develop oral motor skills, navigate picky eating (including PFD and ARFID), and manage complex feeding needs including tube feeding. She also has a keen interest in early communication development and school-aged language and literacy, supporting children to thrive both at home and in the classroom.
Connection sits at the heart of Katherine’s work. She values partnering closely with families and children to understand their unique needs and interests, creatively designing engaging, motivating sessions that feel purposeful and fun. With a passion for teaching and visual design, Katherine is particularly focused on empowering parents with practical strategies that foster lasting connection and progress beyond the therapy room.
Katherine also values working in close partnership with schools, collaborating with leadership teams and educators to create sustainable, big-picture change. She has delivered professional development, designed classroom-based programs, and supported the implementation of evidence-based practices across schools in Melbourne’s west.
Outside of work, Katherine can be found chasing after her two busy toddlers with her husband, experimenting in the kitchen, practicing graphic design, or training for a half marathon.
