LAUREN O’BRIEN
Paediatric Occupational Therapist
Lauren completed her Bachelor of Applied Science and Master of Occupational Therapy Practice at La Trobe University. Lauren is multi-talented, and prior to her OT qualifications, she had previously completed a Bachelor of Arts at Charles Sturt University in 2007 and has worked as a Graphic Designer with the Just Group.
Lauren’s OT experience prior to joining Splash Therapy was with the Royal Children’s Hospital with the VPRS team, supporting children with complex conditions including Cerebral Palsy, Acquired Brain Injuries, Spinal injuries and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome.
Lauren has an interest in helping children develop independence in their everyday skills, and enjoys working closely with parents to achieve the children’s goals. She has experience of providing school and kinder visits and working in collaboration with the child’s team in their educational settings.
Outside work Lauren loves to keep fit and catch up with friends.
