DORCAS YEUNG

Paediatric Occupational Therapist

Dorcas is an Occupational Therapist with experience in clinical settings with paediatrics and rehabilitation. She has attained her Bachelor of Occupational Therapy (Honours) from Monash University, with second upper class honours.  

Prior to joining Splash, Dorcas volunteered overseas supporting children with additional support needs in orphanages and worked as a therapy assistant for children with Autism. 

Dorcas is passionate about taking a creative and fun approach to supporting children to develop new skills and achieve a range of their goals. In particular, she has an interest in supporting children with their play and leisure skills and has been actively involved in special interest groups. She also values family-centred practice and collaborating with the child’s support network, including school and the broader multi-disciplinary team.  

Dorcas is an enthusiastic therapist and brings warmth into the sessions. She is looking forward to working with you and your child to make therapy more memorable! 

Dorcas has had additional training in Cognitive Orientation to Daily Occupational Performance (CO-OP), Learn to Play Therapy, Mobility and Accessibility for Children in Australia (MACA), and with supporting autistic girls. 

Outside of work, Dorcas enjoys cooking, drawing, and playing musical instruments.
